MakeMusic Studio provides the ability to sync with your other calendars.
FAQs
For Google calendar, you can sync your MakeMusic Studio appointments to show in your Google Calendar. And you now have the option to have your Google appointments block off availability in your MakeMusic Studio Calendar.
For iCal, you can only sync your MakeMusic Studio appointments to show in your iCal
If you need staff members calendars to sync to another calendar they can use the "Other Calendars" and copy and paste the link to you
Changes to the original calendar should be reflected in the connected calendar within a few seconds. If you're not seeing the new event in your calendar as expected, try refreshing the page
Google Calendar Sync
MakeMusic Studio Calendar → Google
Automatically sync your MakeMusic Studio appointments to Google Calendar. Only appointments where you are the provider will sync.
While in MakeMusic Studio navigate to Settings->Personal Profile->Calendar
Choose "CONNECT TO GOOGLE"
Sign in to the Google account calendar you want to sync with
Click "Continue"
Google Calendar → MakeMusic Studio (Optional)
Automatically sync the events from your selected Google calendar(s) into your MakeMusic Studio calendar. Events from your Google calendar will display as "Busy" in your MakeMusic Studio calendar when a single staff member is selected. No private details will be shown.
While in MakeMusic Studio navigate to Settings->Personal Profile->Calendar
Connect your Google calendar (see "MakeMusic Studio Calendar → Google" steps above)
Click "ADD CALENDARS"
Select the Google calendar(s) you would like to sync into MakeMusic Studio. Note: you can select more than one calendar if you'd like.
Click "Save"
If you go to "Calendar" and select your name, you should now see all "busy" events in your Google calendar displayed as "Busy" in your MakeMusic Studio calendar
Notes on Google Calendar → MakeMusic Studio:
All Google events that sync into your MakeMusic Studio calendar will display as "Busy" (the event title and event details will not be shown in MakeMusic Studio)
You can only make changes to your Google calendar in Google, not in MakeMusic Studio
If you are invited to an event in your Google calendar, that event will show in your MakeMusic Studio calendar unless you decline the event invite.
Only Google calendar events that are marked as "Busy" in your Google calendar will sync to your MakeMusic Studio calendar. If a Google event is marked as "Free" in your Google calendar, it will not sync into MakeMusic Studio.
You can change an event from "free" to "busy" in your Google calendar if you'd like it to show in MakeMusic Studio. Note: while most Google events default to "Busy" status, all-day events and tasks default to "free" status.
You can add any Google calendar you have access to or delete which Google calendars are synced to your MakeMusic Studio calendar at any time
You can only connect one Google account to your MakeMusic Studio account at a time
Apple Calendar Subscription
Subscribe to add a read-only MakeMusic Studio calendar in your Apple Calendar. Note: iCal has to be setup on your PC/mobile and this will sync to both your PC and mobile
While in MakeMusic Studio navigate to Settings->Personal Profile->Calendar
Choose "SUBSCRIBE" under Apple Calendar Subscription
Sign in to the Google account calendar you want to sync with
Click "Add"
Other Calendars
Add a read-only MakeMusic Studio calendar to your preferred digital calendar. Paste the url into your calendar of choice, such as Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or Outlook.
While in MakeMusic Studio navigate to Settings->Personal Profile->Calendar
Choose "COPY CALENDAR FEED" under Other calendars
Paste it into any other calendars you need MakeMusic Studio to show on
Troubleshooting Calendar Issues
Google Calendar Sync -Please disconnect and reconnect your calendar sync. After disconnecting, wait at least 15 minutes before reconnecting.
Once reconnected, please allow at least 1 hour for the sync to fully update and reflect any changes..
Log out of your MakeMusic Studio account and log back in to resolve minor glitches.
Clear your browser's cache and history to ensure outdated data is not causing issues.
Apple Calendar Subscription - delete from your calendar account and subscribe again
Other Calendars - copy and paste the link again
If none of these work report the issue to MakeMusic Studio support with any errors, exact details of what appointments are not syncing If you are experiencing issues with your MakeMusic Studio calendar defaulting to an incorrect date or not displaying the current date, consider the following:
